Fundamental Eatery

Fundamental Eatery is a temporary extension and a more public interpretation of our gastronomic journey. It opens every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and features an à la carte menu and a four course Carte Blanche chef’s menu. With twenty-four seats, a fresh vibe, and innovative takes on ingredients, flavours, and experimentation, the Eatery continuously works with local suppliers, creative friends, designers, and artists to bring guests the unexpected from within our city and country’s limits.

‘The Unfinished’ Exposition

We combine gastronomy with collectable design and art that is unfinished, open, and ever-evolving, such as Het Groothandelsgebouw and its history.

We want to push food, design, and culture forward, igniting the sentiment of “The Unfinished”, an inseparable ‘fundamental’ of the design universe. Innovative designs and artworks do not emerge as finished products; they undergo trials, beautiful failures, and magical accidents that often remain unseen yet are intrinsically linked. Unfinished prototypes, concepts and materials form the backdrop of a completed design, bringing these unfinished wonders together within the dining experience of Fundamental Eatery.
