HOUSE OF FUNDAMENTAL

House of Fundamental is a multidisciplinary practice founded by chef Merel Beelenkamp and architect Bastiaan Kalmeyer.

Rooted in landscape, our work moves between gastronomy, art, architecture, design and research. From intimate fine dining experiences and private dinners at our Rotterdam atelier to on-location dining, creative collaborations, fragrances and objects, we explore the relationship between nature, materials and culture.

Each project is an expression of the landscapes and places we encounter.
