House of Fundamental is a multidisciplinary practice founded by chef Merel Beelenkamp and architect Bastiaan Kalmeyer.

Rooted in landscape, our work moves between gastronomy, art, architecture, design and research. Through our atelier in Rotterdam, creative collaborations, fragrances and objects, we explore the relationship between nature, materials and culture.

Each project is an expression of the landscapes and places we encounter.
